Subi Life

Subi Life was my capstone design project for my major, exploring the unique car culture surrounding the Subaru brand. I researched and documented the community by engaging directly with enthusiasts and attending local events, capturing the passion and identity that define the Subaru lifestyle.

The majority of the images featured are either sourced from my local area or photographed by me at events, providing an authentic visual narrative. I wrote, designed, and produced the entire publication—from concept and content development to layout and print production—crafting a cohesive story that blends research, visual storytelling, and design into one complete piece.

Automotive Infographics | Research & Visual Storytelling

I created a series of three automotive-themed infographics, each focused on a different aspect of car culture and performance. Every piece required extensive research to accurately present the information and craft a compelling visual narrative that connects data, history, and design.

The first infographic, “Greener Alternatives,” explores sustainable transportation options by examining the environmental impact of traditional gas-powered vehicles. Through research on emissions, carbon footprints, and clean energy innovations, I compared electric vehicles (EVs), hybrids, and public transportation to highlight more eco-friendly ways to move toward a sustainable future.

The second infographic, “Evo vs. STI,” analyzes two of the most iconic rivals in rally racing—the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and the Subaru WRX STI. I compared and contrasted their design philosophies, performance specs, and engineering choices, showing how each car’s strengths and weaknesses affect both racing dynamics and everyday street performance.

The third piece, “Mitsubishi Evolution In Race,” presents a timeline of the car’s racing legacy, tracing its origins, championship victories, and technical advancements across generations. This visual story captures how consistent innovation and success on the track shaped the Evo into a legendary symbol of performance.

Together, these infographics combine research, data visualization, and storytelling to translate complex automotive topics into clear, engaging, and informative designs.
